Thanks for the article, you know I was asking that question myself. Being a Dallas Willard fan and looking up to him as a spiritual hero, I concur with what you said in your article and appreciate Dallas’ example of humility by being a servant to these young pastors.
Thank you so much for this encouragement. We currently belong to a tiny Episcopal Church about to celebrate the 150th anniversary of its founding next summer. There are usually 6-8 of us worshipping on any given Sunday. The average age is probably 78. And yet, I have never been part of a congregation that is so filled with genuine love and appreciation for one another, that is so concerned for the welfare of those both within the church and in the community, and that is still growing spiritually despite age, infirmity, and small numbers. Thank you for the vision of the garden we are tending having fruit that outlasts us. We needed that.
